
Eligibility
Litlinks is a writing competition open to all ACT school students in years 9-10 & 11-12.
Outcomes
This competition is an excellent opportunity for students and schools alike. All involved will receive:
- Book containing the overall top entries from around the ACT
- CD-ROM containing the best entries from each school for use as exemplars in the classroom
- Free teaching resources to help you integrate this competition into your curriculum, including assessment ideas and class lesson plans
Categories
All forms of writing are eligible, including:
- Short Stories (entries that fit the genres of speculative fiction, journeys and quests, crime fiction are encouraged, but all are welcome)
- Poetry
- Journalism (including news articles, sports journalism, blogs and other forms)
- Children’s stories
- Life stories (including biographical and autobiographical)
- Other (this essentially is a category which caters for those entries which do not fit the categories above
Submissions
- Competition opens 23 March and closes 24 September 2010
- Entries must be submitted online via the online entry form (available 23 March 2010)
- Entries may be accompanied by original artwork/photography (this could be produced by a student other than the author, as long as due credit is given)

Judging
The organisation and judging of this competition is coordinated by ACTATE in conjunction with teachers throughout the territory.
